Reality: that which has existence
Apart from any idea any
Mind may have of it, and
That which would exist
If there were no mind anywhere
To entertain a thought of it;
That which is real
Has being of itself,
It does not depend
Upon the observer
For its validity
The mind doesn’t make
Things any more real,
Than that things exist
Yes! They simply exist
Whether the mind has
Yet captured it or not,
Still it doesn’t nullify
The realness of things
Electric charges flow
Does not seeing them
Nullify that they flow?
The mind must have faith
Do not apologize for it
For it is an organ of knowledge, that
Tells more about ultimate reality
Than all findings of science
The mind does not oppose science
But it recognizes its limitations
Refusing to stop where it’s compelled to
There’s another world too fine
For the instruments of scientific
Research to discover or uncover;
But by faith we’ve engaged
That world, and made it ours
Imagination projects unreal images
And seeks to attach reality to them,
Faith however creates nothing;
It simply reckons upon that which
Is already there
Why doesn’t the sky fall?
Who gave path to thunderstorm?
The spiritual world is real
Spiritual things are here
There’s a Presence that
Makes all things consist;
The Presence of One, who
Fills everything in every way
